360 Degree Staff Appraisals

360-degree feedback, also known as multi-rater feedback or peer reviews, is designed to address the limitations of a process where the immediate manager is the only person giving an employee performance feedback. This multi-source staff appraisals approach can give real insight into how different groups rate an employee and give people much better self awareness by learning how their colleagues perceive them. People generally like 360 degree feedback, take observations less personally and are more likely to take on board what's been said during Employee Performance Management stages.

Employee self-assessment

Employee self-assessment

Employees conduct a self-appraisal by rating how they have performed against each competency and job responsibility performance factor. Add notes and supporting commentary against each score.

Appraiser evaluation

Appraiser evaluation

Select direct reports, peers, supervisors or managers to participate in a sequenced 360 degree/multi-rater feedback staff appraisals process. Alternatively, assign just a single appraiser. Appraisers rate the employee on each performance factor, and add notes if desired. Review detailed records of all previous staff appraisals during an employee assessment. Aggregate appraisers' individual scores to an overall weighted average score for the employee. View each individual appraiser's scores and comments.
