Covalent Strategies - Track progress of strategic and operational objectives
Covalent Scorecards and Strategy Maps translate your strategies in visually engaging one-page maps that align KPIs, actions and risks with corporate and departmental objectives at all organisational levels.
- Assess progress of your corporate strategies. Covalent provides a traffic-lighted view of current status at each level of the strategy, based on performance results. During the year, progress of the strategy can be easily monitored as part of an ongoing review cycle instead of the typical annual one-off exercise.
- Make strategy part of everyone's day job. Covalent ensures universal understanding of the strategy, and how everyone contributes to corporate and operational objectives. When people truly understand the plan, they are clear what needs to be done, by when and how success will be measured; they also have a logical framework to guide execution actions.
- Proactively manage strategy to take corrective action where needed. Throughout, Covalent employs visually-rich views so users can understand information at a glance and quickly identify problem areas. By providing early warning of faltering performance to the right person at the right time, management action is focused where it's needed to improve the outcome.
Objective hierarchy
Map out business objectives at each level, from corporate through departments and service units down to individual employee scorecards, if desired. Assign a weighting to each element reflecting its importance relative to other scorecard elements.
Track objective achievement
Identify problem areas at a glance with the 'Panic?' status overlay which traffic-lights every part of the scorecard. Create a visual representation of the connections between desired outcomes from the strategy (the effect) with the drivers that will lead to those outcomes (the cause).
Strategy visualisation
Improve the visual appeal of Strategy Maps using the various drawing objects (such as arrows, rectangles and ellipses), and add colour to lines or filled elements. Use the text box to add your own labels or headings for navigation around the map.
The Scorecards provide a great visual representation of how the organisation is performing against each of our corporate objectives. This provides real-time data at any time during the reporting period so we can be alerted quickly to areas that may require remedial action.
Covalent Strategy Maps have enabled us to provide comprehensive performance information at all levels within the business, at the touch of a button. The Board has been impressed with the presentation of the information and the way we can show how we are working towards achieving our key aims.
