Covalent Reports - Present results and progress in visually-engaging reports

Covalent Reports - a dedicated reporting engine - contains a vast library of predefined templates, and an ad-hoc report generation tool to custom build reports for specific requirements.

'Point and click' report writing - no coding to figure out! Wizards guide users through the process of creating customised reports from templates using a parameter-driven, point-and-click approach. Users select from drop-down lists what query they want to run and what they want to show on the report.

Report templates

Select from the Covalent library of generic, pre-defined report templates that cater for most organisations' requirements; others can be configured during the implementation, or subsequently by users employing the built-in report creation features.

Custom reports

Build customised reports using the Layout Editor which offers total control over field positioning on the page, fonts, colours, groupings, alignment, column width and background colour. Drag and drop to add items to the report layout or to reposition on the page.

Grouping & Sorting

Group report contents into sections by any number of facets (such as ownership, status, date, project etc). Order the way information is presented in the report by specifying a sort order for each row. Add a summary chart or table to give a count of items by a wide variety of criteria (e.g. status, specified owners, category etc).

Output formats

View reports online, distribute electronically to colleagues, export into other desktop systems or print in hard copy. Produce outputs in a wide range of formats - HTML, PDF, Word and Excel. Publish multiple versions of the same report data, with different layouts and formats.

Automatic generation

Reports can be scheduled to automatically generate at pre-determined times when they will consolidate all data then live on the system. Archive reports by selecting the 'prevent generation' tick box; this means that the report will only run with the data it was last configured with, rather than the most recent data added.

Dossiers

Combine individual reports into dossiers to simplify report generation and viewing. Specify the sequence to order those reports in the dossier. Incorporate any non-Covalent report document - such as an image file, or a Word/Excel file - and print as one complete Covalent report.

Covalent has dramatically improved the look of our PI reports.

Before purchasing Covalent, we produced basic reports using Microsoft Office which had little visual appeal. Covalent gave us the ability to quickly and easily produce customised, visually striking reports which displayed trends and historical data.

As there is no need for us to manually produce PI reports, Covalent saves us hours of work.

Covalent is a great visual reporting tool. We particularly like the fact that once a report template has been set up, we can generate an up-to-date report at the click of a button without the need to recreate a new report each time from scratch.
