Covalent Consultations - Manage all aspects of customer consultations
Covalent Consultations manages all aspects of consultation exercises that involve customer input to improving services. It also tracks the impact such consultations have on how the organisation operates and assesses their overall value for money.
Customer involvement events might be focus groups, regular meetings such as area forums or boards, scrutiny panels, residents' federations, special groups for different groups of customers such as disabled customers, inspectors, service satisfaction surveys and so on.
- Ensure a consistent approach to documenting consultations. Record all relevant information in a structured format that is consistent for all consultations undertaken. Besides enforcing a common approach, this also simplifies later analysis and reporting to identify patterns and consolidate findings.
- Assess the value and impact of consultations exercises. Covalent records both the impact of each event on the organisation and its value for money relative to the costs involved. This provides an objective measure of the worth of these exercises and helps combine best practice to ensure more effective consultations in future.
- Reduce the time and effort involved. Producing impact assessments and other analyses are considerably more complicated and time-consuming if you use a tool like Excel or Word. Covalent has templates in place and is pre-configured with relevant profiling information thus greatly simplifying the administration load in conducting consultation events.
Consultation profiling
Record details of each event held (such as attendees profile, topics discussed, outcome, venue, costs, resources required etc). Use a variety of customisable grouping options, such as event type, topic, method, involvement activity to analyse results, run queries and create summary reports.
Impact assessment
Assess each event in terms of its impact and value for money, simply by selecting from a dropdown list of pre-defined, traffic-lighted labels. Log any specific outcomes from each consultation and link to corporate priorities and goals. Record all costs incurred during consultation events.
Actions arising
Record actions arising, such as setting up a project, reporting to a committee, reviewing the processes involved in service delivery, asking another officer to come to a future meeting etc. Link each action back to the relevant outcome. Report back findings and action points to attendees and other interested parties in a variety of formats.
