Customer implementations

“The implemenation project was well supported, and the data load process completely successfully and within the agreed timescales. The Covalent team were friendly, helpful and responsive to questions and ideas.”

Charlie Proctor, Dumfries & Galloway Council

“The need for involvement of IT during the implementation was minimal. The whole process took around 4 weeks altogether. Given how complex the whole thing can be it didn't really seem to take that long. Of all the IT companies that I have dealt with over the years, Covalent are certainly the best.”

Kieran Smith, Performance Officer, South Staffordshire Council

A Covalent implementation project is centred around the 'Dataload' process, covering the activities involved in loading all the customer specific data and configuring the system to suit your particular preferences.

Our project team assume responsibility for getting the data into shape for loading onto Covalent, which usually involves a copy and paste data manipulation exercise. Typically the data to load covers the following items:

  • List of Users with desired access control and preferences settings, and details of which organisation units they are in.
  • Details of Statutory PIs used by the customer, including ownership assignments and future targets. Covalent will with itself load historic annual data that we have consolidated from published sources.
  • Details of Local PIs used, with historic data and future targets.
  • Actions and Projects possibly arising out of service reviews or improvement plans.
  • The Risk Register and Risk Matrix settings.

Once the data is manipulated into the right format, our team import it to the Covalent SQL Server database. We then build your customer site and configure to suit your particular preferences for you to log into. With typical volumes of data, we can have your site up and accessible within a week.
