Product Based Consulting
Covalent has packaged its vast experience of performance management projects into a series of distinct consulting offerings that are structured to guide and advise customers at every stage of the Covalent Deployment life cycle.
Pre-Implementation Consulting
- PMF - PM Framework. Research and workshop-based, to deliver a Performance Management Framework encompassing people's roles, processes, information, reporting cycle and calendar of events/meetings during the year.
- ISP - "Covalent Implementation Strategy" Plan. Workshop-based, facilitated group decision-making on all relevant topics prior to implementation.
- PSD - Performance Scorecard Development. Workshop-based, facilitates a group discussion (corporate or departmental) following Covalent methodology to formulate a strategy plan, define key priorities/goals, and agree how achievement will be measured with PIs.
- PIC - PIs Creation. Similar approach, in this case producing an agreed list of appropriate PIs for monitoring performance in the organisation, at corporate and departmental level.
- RMF - Risks Management Framework. A workshop series that helps customer staff identify relevant risks, and formalise a basis for profiling and assessing them.
During-Implementation Consulting
- RPC - Reports Creation. An add-on to the standard implementation service whereby Covalent staff build a series of reports based on examination of the data loaded and appropriate layouts from the Covalent library of templates.
- SSB - Scorecards/Snapshots building. Another standard implementation add-on whereby Covalent staff build a series of scorecards and snapshots relevant to customer's corporate strategy plan and departmental service plans.
- PPD - Processes and Procedures definition. Definition of processes that cover data collection/updating, cleansing/data auditing, analysis, reporting and maintenance. Also processes to cover performance review cycle/meetings, overlap with budgeting/ service planning and other relevant processes. Definition of processes that cover data collection/updating, cleansing/data auditing, analysis, reporting and maintenance. Also processes to cover performance review cycle/meetings, overlap with budgeting/ service planning and other relevant processes.
- TUG - Customised Training/User guides. Using the standard Covalent training and on-line help materials, our team package a series of guides to suit the customer's particular circumstances and intentions in terms of system usage.
Post-Implementation Consulting
- SEA - Site Effectiveness Audit. Review of the current situation and development since implementation, that provides a route-map forward to address any identified shortcomings. The prime objective is to find ways to further embed a Performance Management culture and encourage greater usage of the system to support that.
- ROR - Roll-out or Re-launch. Often, following a pilot or partial usage (perhaps only one or two modules), a customer decides to roll the software out to a wider audience of users; in other cases, the usage of the software may have lost momentum and require "re-launching". In such cases, the Covalent consultant can work with you to package suitable materials together, and introduce users to the software via a series of workshops or drop-in sessions .
"On a quarterly basis we produce a selection of management reports which are circulated to the board and members and senior management team. These cover a selection of PIs, some of which are statutory BVPIs and others local ones particular to Harrogate. Covalent allows us not only the visibility to see how well and where we are performing and achieving, but also the flexibility to see this in the context of departments or organisational objective. The managers in the Council have now become reliant on the information we are able to provide and are keen to have access to more."
— Rachel Glendinning, Harrogate Borough Council
